Lyndal (Sara West) is a young woman out of control, but her path to self-destruction started at the hands of her abuser Kevin (Gyton Grantley) at an exclusive boarding school in Toowoomba in the 1990s. Her legal team (Aden Young and Jack Thompson) develop a plan to bring the school to account.
In the light of the Royal Commission into child abuse, Don't Tell is a gritty, topical and deeply portrayal of a victim searching for justice. The performances are extraordinary, and the supporting cast (Rachel Griffiths, Martin Sachs and Susie Porter) add layers to the complexities of the relationships and the damage endured. It's not easy viewing but an important piece of cinema which gives a human face to the headlines. Recommended.
